Farm Omandumba is one of the typical Namibian family run farms, situated in the north-west of the Erongo Mountains. Omandumba West used to be a live-stock farm for cattle and goats.
But since, the Rust family has successfully integrated the principles of the EMRST/EMNS at Omandumba and has transitioned to a popular tourism destination. The charm of a true Namibian farm has remained though; accommodation is in 8 new double farm-style rooms, meals are taken with the family table. Afterwards, stories and adventures are shared at the traditional camp fire.
Farm Omandumba also has a camping site with 5 individual sites, each with their own toilet and shower.
Many activities are also offered at Omandumba. Unique for Omandumba is a visit to the “Living Hunter’s Museum” of the Bushmen (San). The traditions and way of life of the bushmen is shown to the visitor here. A guided tour is also offered to the plentiful rock art and engravings. Or the characteristic “Sundowner”-tour with a cold drink at sunset and the backdrop of the Erongo Mountains. Omandumba is also worth a visit for game or bird viewing as many of the typical species of the Erongo occur here.
